Episode nr. 8: How to stop being dependent on others and start to be happy by yourself

Have you ever felt like you needed others approval to feel good enough? Or do you feel like your happiness depend on others? 

Let me tell you a personal story. I used to be extremely depend on guys approval to feel pretty enough. When I knew that I was going out with my girls, I would spend hours in advance, listening to pop-music and picking out the perfect outfit and make-up that would match.

When we made it to the club, I grabbed a soda and found the perfect spot to be at, at the club. Then i’d spend more energy looking around to see if any guys were looking at me rather than enjoying my time dancing. Because to me, if ‘enough’ guys paid attention to me, then that had to mean that I was pretty enough. If they didn’t, my night was ruined becuase then I felt like the ugliest girl in the room. 

Being depend on others approval can tear you down and make you feel terrible, because it’s a game that you can never win and i’m going to tell why in todays episode.

Because in todays episode we’re going to be talking about: 

1. Why you depend on others in the first place? In my opinion it’s important to know why we do something before we can overcome it. Therefore i’m going to cover 2 different reasons you become depend on others. 

2. Then we’re going to cover 3 different ways you can overcome dependency and become happy and confident by yourself again.
